About Us

At Twenty20 Psychology, we know how difficult it can be to acknowledge when you are having emotional problems. They can make everything feel confusing, difficult and a struggle. Adults and adolescents who have psychological difficulties sometimes complain of not being able to sleep, eat, enjoy themselves, go to work, play with their children. They often worry all the time; cry; lose interest in doing things they used to previously enjoy; and want to shut themselves away from others. Sometimes people resort to harming themselves in order to feel something other than emotional pain. You may have some or all of these problems, or different ones.

Children can have similar difficulties, including not feeling like they want to go to school or play with their friends; feeling anxious or sad for much of the time; withdrawing from their usual activities; toileting issues; bed wetting; unusual or “acting out” behaviour. Children can sometimes have specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, making school life very stressful. Any of these experiences can be confusing and upsetting for both children and parents.
